Experience the great outdoors, sleep under the stars, and wake up to the sounds of wildlife! Whether you’re settling in to a cabin, pitching a tent or rolling in with your RV, the Chahinkapa Zoo Campground offers a peaceful, family-friendly escape just steps away from the zoo.

Reservations are on line only and must be paid at the time of booking.  Walk-ins are welcome if space is available.  Instructions for walk in bookings are posted at the gate.

Camper Cabins

Enjoy a stay in our rustic wooden cabins.  Each cabin contains a table with chairs, bunkbeds, and mattresses. Electricity and air conditioning are included.  Outside the cabins you have picnic tables, and fire rings with grates for cooking.  Drinking water, bathrooms and showers are located near by.  Please bring pillows and bedding.  Your lock box code will be sent upon registration. A fine of $20 for the loss of a cabin key  will be charged to your credit card on file.

Zebra cabin sleeps  4   $60 per night

Rhino cabin sleeps  6  $80 per night

Cancelation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled 10 days or more before arrival
  • No refunds for cancellations within 10 days of arrival
    (Refunds will reflect processing fees deducted from the total amount.)

 

Pet Policy

  • Pets are welcome but must be accompanied at all times
  • Leashes required when outside your campsite
  • You must clean up after your pet

Firewood

  • $5 per bundle when available

It is unlawful to bring out-of-state firewood into the campground
